I’m currently on Epworth hospital in Richmond, Melbourne with a very large PE sitting in my chest, I had the AstraZeneca shots in late 2020 on my Gps advice because I was on blood thinners she said I should be ok with the AZ, I’d had previous clotting issues after a fem-pop bypass in 2010. When I had the AZ shots I didn’t feel the same afterwards and my platelet levels rose to the 558 from below 400 where it had been for years prior.
This morning I had a pet scan to try and help determine whether there is something untoward happening that is causing these clots to happen, I had clots in my right leg which were finding there way through to my chest and when I presented at hospital they seem to think that the leg clots were being caused by something like a possible tumour or some malignancy happening.
